2012 Mar BellaBox Review

After a few months' subscription to all the 3 beauty sampler program in Singapore, I realized that I have boxes piled up over my store room. Now I become very thankful to BellaBox's compact packaging.  Though the content might be not so satisfactory, I would still retain my subscription for a few more months.

BellaBox tend to include some infamous brands everytime. I don't mind try something I m not aware of - actually I consider myself as adventurous in testing beauty products. But I would prefer to see some higher quality one - especially not some Korean brand calling itself 'xxx New York'.

And here's my review to the products.

1. Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel 30ml

Dermalogica had some wonderful products, but not this special cleansing gel. It cleansed oils from my face too thoroughly, that my face had to produce even more oil to compensate it, which eventually led to clogged pores. I had more black heads coming out after using this, and I had to do my black heads removal routine every 3 days instead of 1 week. I stopped using it after a week, and not planning to use it again.

2. Dermalogica Overnight Repair Serum 1 packette

I don't really like packette samples - especially when I only got 1 of them. No one could really tell whether a product works from just 1 application, neither make any decision to buy or not. Right?

3. Royal Cosmetics Royal Herb Ex Cream 3ml

I did a search before using the product, but everything online I could find is other bloggers' sponsored review... It seems to be a Japanese brand but I couldn't find any reviews in Japanese when I did a search using its jap name... It seems to be available only in Malaysia and Singapore, hmm...

Anyway since a lot of others say that it's a pot of gold (what?!), I still decided to try it myself. The texture is good, light weighted and has golden flakes in it. I don't believe the golden flake is gold though (BellaBox claimed it is real gold). How can you expect to scrub a piece of gold into your skin? Impossible!

It came with artificial smell, which I hate a lot. My hand became softer immediately after application, but dries out very soon. In an hour's time my left had with the cream application is 10% drier than my right hand with nothing applied on.

I didn't dare to use it on my face, as I also didn't read any of the other bloggers did that. If any of you reader girls want to try it, drop me a message, I'll mail the sample to the first girl free of charge. :)

4. Caudalie VinoPerfect Radiance Serum

This is the most valuable product in the box I received =) I used to get Caudalie products from Europe and love the brand a lot. This VinoPerfect Serum is one of my favorites - it clears my complexion and lightens scar. Though not much use to make my skintone fairer but I would still continue to use for the scar lightening effect.

5. Ansley Show Hot Dual Volume Mascara

This is the Korean brand called them Ansley New York. LOL

I tried the mascara once, and removed it immediately after application. It irritated my eyes and my tears couldn't stop...

6. A'kin Hand, Nail and Cuticle Creme

The cream gave me a very good feeling as it's not greasy/oily and absorbed very well into my hand. It doesn't have any strong scent so I chose to bring it to office for daily use. I have never used any product from A'kin before but the cream left me with very good impression towards the brand. I might be thinking of getting some more stuffs in the near future =)

Besides all the products, a $50 Dermalogica Facial voucher was attached in the box as well. But I won't   use it since it can only be redeemed in a Bishan salon, which is too far from my place. Any reader would like to have the voucher pls drop me a message =)

xoxo,
Tanya
